Getting Support with Literacy and Numeracy

ALN Drop-in Sessions

Many people struggle when it comes to reading, writing, numbers and IT skills. It is estimated that about 8 million working age adults have difficulty when it comes to numeracy and the literacy rates of Scottish school pupils have fallen over the past four years according to figures by the Scottish government.

These core skills are essential in all aspects of your life and will not only benefit your studying at college but also help your life at home.

At Forth Valley College, we have drop-in sessions available to students who would like extra help with reading, writing, numbers and also IT skills. These are informal weekly sessions and are open to all students.

For more information on when Forth Valley College’s Adult Literacy and Numeracy sessions are see our timetable https://www.forthvalley.ac.uk/student-info/support-advice/
