What is the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE)?

The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) is a scheme which allows undergraduate students the opportunity to work abroad, usually for 6 to 12 weeks during the summer break.

The IAESTE scheme has been running for 67 years, and operates in over 80 countries worldwide.

Who can take part in the scheme?

The scheme is aimed at students on programmes related to Science, Engineering, Technology or Applied Arts. It is suitable for students at Forth Valley College studying at HND Level or above.

What would be the benefits of taking part?

Participating in this experience allows students to gain valuable experience in industry or research in academic institutions. You’ll enhance your CV and also develop other key employability skills such as independence, communication, flexibility etc.

Additionally, students will learn about the culture of their host country and fellow trainees as well as broadening their horizons by creating links with other countries.

Applications are now open and will close 26 November 2015.
